While giraffe print is quite nice, there are many other patterns out there inspired by nature. Another popular choice in fashion is cheetah print.  Cheetah is an incredibly hot pattern.  The small dark spots on a yellow or orange background are in such contrast with eachother, that it can’t help but catch people’s eyes wherever it’s seen.  Based on the fastest land animal on the planet, you really can’t go wrong with adding a touch (and I stress a TOUCH – don’t go overboard) of cheetah to your outfit or home.

Giraffe print fabric can vary in both the type of fabric and the specific coloration and shape of the spots.  Many people aren’t aware of this, but there are over 20 distinct species of giraffe, each with it’s own pattern and coloration, and most of them are represented in some form of fabric or another.  You can also find many color variations you’d never see in nature.

Giraffe print fabrics are purchased by the yard, just like any other fabric.  And, just like most other fabrics, this great pattern can be found in many different types of fabric.  For example, if you’re looking for something to make a giraffe print blanket out of, you can find this pattern in a nice chenille fabric.  
Cuddle plush is a great fabric for stuffed animals and anything for your baby because it is very soft.  Giraffe print cuddle plush comes in many colors, to include pink, baby blue, light green, and of course natural giraffe.  You can also find a light satin fabric in giraffe print typically used for curtains.

As far as colors and patterns go, you can find so many different types that you might have trouble figuring out where to start.  Do you want large blocky spots?  Or smaller spots with jagged edges?  Your pattern choice is going to depend largely on how you use this fabric.  This is true of the colors as well.  You can get, as mentioned above, baby blue, light green, light pink and even combinations of those colors.  Those are great for kids items.  You can also find an infinite amount of variations on the brown in the spots, and fill color.  The spots can range from a deep brown (sometimes even black) to orange, while the fill color ranges from white to dark tan.  Of course, for a real wild look, they make giraffe fabric in florescent colors as well; hot pink, lime green, you name it.  The only color combination you might want to avoid is large black spots on a white background.  As you might imagine, this looks more like a cow than a giraffe.  Not that there’s anything wrong with cows, but that might now exactly be the look you’re going for.

Giraffe print fabric comes in so many colors and types that we can’t possibly cover them all here; linen, leather, lace, whatever.  If you can imagine it in a giraffe print, you can probably find the fabric for it and make it.

If you’re looking to add some wild style to your bedroom, you should try giraffe print bedding.  Giraffe print is a great addition to any bedroom motif, especially those with an african feel, you know, given that giraffes hail from Africa.  I suppose it’d also work if your room has a zoo feel, but if you go overboard with the animal print, you look more insane than stylish.

On that note, you really don’t want to get too crazy with the animal print, or animal decorations in general.  Considering that your bed is likely the largest piece of furniture you own, let alone the largest in the bedroom, a nice giraffe print bedroom set goes a long way in changing the look of your room.  Most animal print sets will come in a combination of the animal print, and solid prints to break up the pattern.  Often it’s the pillow cases and sheets that are the solid complimentary color, while the comforter is the animal print color.  Sometimes you get a mix of solid and giraffe print pillow cases.  A lot of the time the comforter is reversible with one side being giraffe and the other side solid colored.

A giraffe print bed in a bag will include the giraffe print comforter, pillow cases and pillow shams, flat sheet and fitted sheet, and bed skirt.  You can also buy square throw pillows in the matching pattern, or complimentary solid color separately.  If you don’t want to buy the complete bed in a bag set, you can simply buy giraffe print sheets, and call it a day.  To compliment your bedding, you can also find giraffe print curtains.  Some may find that a bit overwhelming, because just about every visible fabric in the room would be in that pattern.  You might as well buy a matching carpet, and 50 cats to go with it.  A more subtle approach would be to buy simple solid curtains in the color that matches the solids in your set.

Animal print bedding, specifically of the majestic giraffe, is a great way to add a wild touch to your bedroom.  If you feel like getting really obnoxious with it, you can go with hot pink giraffe print.  This is not acceptable if you are over the age of 16 though. That is, unless you have a large collection of unicorn memorabilia; which, let’s be honest, is really not acceptable either.
